THREADS
What are threads?

Are defined as a minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment to prevent and correct facial flaccidity. It is an alternative to the traditional facelift, what we call: "Japanese facelift", "natural facelift" or "facelift without surgery".
Over time, our skin loses firmness and elasticity, so the first wrinkles appear.
There is no specific age to put yourself in the hands of the specialist and perform this treatment, it all depends on each patient: the state of their skin and the signs of aging that are accused. However, the first step can be taken when the first expression wrinkles begin to appear and as a prevention so that they do not appear in the future. The great advantage of tensioning threads is that natural results are obtained without losing expression.
Non Surgical Lifting with PDO Threads
To firm the face, the Polydioxanone Tensile Threads (PDO) are used, very fine threads that are inserted under the skin creating a network structure to support the tissues and provide a firming effect.
We say it is a natural facelift because these threads increase the production of collagen and elastin to redensify the areas where it is applied. In short, fibroblasts are stimulated to increase the elasticity of the skin.
How do you apply face-pulling threads?

It is a relatively quick procedure, lasting about half an hour. First, an anesthetic cream is applied to minimize the slight discomfort it may cause, and the threads are infiltrated through small needles under the dermis. Once finished, the patient can leave without the need for postoperative. The advantage of this method is that no incisions are made and therefore no subsequent scars result.
In addition, depending on the results to be achieved and the needs of each patient, the thread tensioners for the face can be complemented and combined with other techniques such as hyaluronic acid or botox.
Are there any contraindications?

The tensioning threads are made of a bio-compatible and resorbable material, so they do not produce contraindications. In addition, the diameter of the threads is so fine that the needles with which they are inserted are of small caliber to reduce discomfort. It is true that some small hematoma may appear after the treatment, which will disappear in the following days and some minor discomfort that will also remit.

How long does it last?

Due to their properties, the duration of the tensioning threads is between 12 and 18 months. A single session is sufficient, although annual retouching is recommended in order to preserve its effects. In addition, the number of threads used in each intervention depends on the skin of each patient and the areas to be treated.
